Who we are and why this site exists
Hello, and welcome. Shopwise Daily is run by Kelpika, and it began as a YouTube channel where we post about products. This website, Shopwise Daily, is the written half of that same work.
The honest reason it exists is simple: a YouTube description box is far too small for everything we want to say. There’s a hard limit on the length, nobody enjoys reading a wall of text under a video, and important details kept getting cut for space.
So we built this site as the place where the full version lives. If a video gives you the short answer, these pages give you the reasoning, the caveats, and the parts that didn’t fit.
What you’ll find here for each video
For the products covered on the channel, we try to publish a longer written companion piece. It usually walks through what the product claims to do, what owners say it actually does, where the common complaints cluster, and who it seems to suit or not suit.
We also include the things that are hard to say in a short video: the pattern of a specific fault, the difference between older and newer versions, the accessories people wish they’d bought instead.
Some pages end with a clear “we wouldn’t buy this.” That’s not clickbait. If the collected feedback points that way, it’s the most useful thing we can tell you, and we’d rather publish it than pad out a page with faint praise.
Why we write the way we do
We want to be completely upfront about this, because it shapes everything on this site.
We do not own the products we write about, and we have no hands-on experience with them. We don’t buy them, we don’t borrow them, and we don’t test them. There’s no lab here, no test bench, no photos of anyone holding the thing.
What we actually do is read. We go through reviews and feedback posted publicly by real owners and buyers — people who spent their own money and lived with the product — and we gather what they report. Then we summarise what seems genuinely good or bad about it based on that collected feedback.
So when you read a conclusion of ours, please understand what it is: a careful reading of other people’s experiences, not a report on our own. We think that kind of summary has real value, but only if we’re honest about what it is.
How we research a product
The kinds of sources we read
We lean mostly on owner reviews from retailer listings, because those come from people who paid for the item. Alongside that, we read discussion threads and forum posts where owners talk to each other, long-term comments left months after purchase, questions and answers on product pages, and the comment sections under video reviews.
We also look at manufacturer specifications and listing details, but we treat those as marketing claims to be checked, not facts to be repeated. Where published professional testing exists, we’ll read that too and say plainly that it isn’t ours.
When reviews disagree
Reviews contradict each other constantly, and pretending otherwise would make our pages neater but less true. When opinions split, we look for whether the split has a pattern — an older batch versus a newer one, a difference in how people were using the product, a regional model variation, or one specific fault that only some units seem to have.
If we can find the pattern, we explain it. If we can’t, we say that opinion is divided and leave it divided rather than picking the side that makes for a cleaner story.
When the evidence is thin
Sometimes a product has eleven reviews, all posted in the same week, and several of them read like they were written by the same person. That’s not enough to build a conclusion on, and we’ll tell you so.
We try never to sound more confident than the evidence allows. You’ll see us flag pages where feedback is sparse, where the reviews look suspicious, or where the product is too new for anyone to know how it holds up after a year. A hedge that’s honest is worth more to you than a verdict that isn’t.
Prices, specs and availability change
Everything about a product listing is a moving target. Prices shift daily, specifications get quietly revised, models get replaced by near-identical successors, and stock comes and goes.
That’s why every page here carries a date. It tells you when we last looked, so you can judge how stale the information might be.
We go back and update pages when a product changes meaningfully or when new feedback shifts the picture. Even so, please treat the retailer’s own page as the final word on price and availability.
Corrections
We get things wrong. We misread a spec, we miss a firmware update that fixed the exact fault we complained about, or we draw a conclusion that later feedback undercuts.
When that happens, we fix the page openly. We’d rather show the change than silently edit and pretend we were right all along, so corrections get noted with a date.

How the site is funded

Some links on this site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you — you pay the same price you would have paid anyway.
That’s what keeps the hosting paid and the writing going, and we’re grateful when people use those links. But it doesn’t change what we write. Our conclusions come from the review feedback we’ve read, and a page that ends in “don’t buy this” earns us nothing and still gets published.

If anything on a page is sponsored, paid for, or was gifted to us, that will be labelled clearly on the page where it appears. Not buried in a footer somewhere — on the page itself, where you’ll actually see it.

Shopwise Daily is a general information and consumer-interest site. Nothing here is professional medical, legal, or financial advice, and reading it doesn’t create any kind of professional relationship between us.
